Ankur is a non-profit organization, which works towards economic, social and linguistic development at all levels of the country, by innovating, implementing and increasing the uses of technology to enhance the quality of education and life, through information and communication technology to make Bangladesh a prosperous and developed country.
Since its inception in October 2002, Ankur has been localizing open source software and services in collaboration with Bangla language and Bengali culture.
Ankur developed the famous “Probhat” layout and Bangla spell checker add-on for Firefox.
