As a result, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/events.wordpress.org\/campusconnect\/2025\/dhaka\/\">WordPress Campus Connect Dhaka 2025<\/a><\/strong> is now official across multiple educational institutions in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative has quickly gained momentum and excitement within the student community. In just <strong>11 months<\/strong>, we successfully reached <strong>305 students<\/strong> across <strong>7 partner campuses<\/strong>. We introduced them to the power of WordPress, the philosophy of open-source, and the pathway to becoming active contributors to the global WordPress project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Campus Connect Matters for Dhaka<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dhaka is home to thousands of bright, ambitious students who are eager to build careers in technology, digital innovation, content creation, design, and entrepreneurship. However, many institutions still rely heavily on traditional academic methods, which often do not include practical exposure to open-source platforms or contribution models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WordPress Campus Connect<\/strong> aims to change that. Each campus welcomed WordPress Campus Connect with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn. Mohammadpur Model College<\/td><td>70 Students<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Primeasia University<\/td><td>30 Students<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Dhaka City College<\/td><td>70 Students<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Independent University Bangladesh (IUB)<\/td><td>10 Students<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Total Students Reached So Far: 305<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each session included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A comprehensive discussion on WordPress as a CMS with examples.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Introduction to creating a <strong>WordPress.org profile<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The prospect of creating student clubs in partner campuses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step-by-step guidance on how to <strong>contribute to Polyglots, Support, Docs, and Community teams<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Career guidance sessions covering <strong>freelancing, remote work, community recognition, and WordPress contribution badges<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An open Q&amp;A segment where students shared their expectations and challenges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Students from Computer Science, Business, Digital Marketing, English Literature, and even non-IT backgrounds expressed interest in <strong>learning WordPress not just as a tool but as a career pathway and contribution opportunity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Highlights and Community Response<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our workshops were not just training sessions; they became community-building experiences. Students were thrilled to discover that by contributing just a few hours each week, they could:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Earn official recognition on <strong>profiles.wordpress.org<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receive <strong>contributor badges<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inspire their peers and create campus-led WordPress communities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Get access to <strong>WordPress Global Mentorship and Open Source Events<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be part of something bigger than themselves &#8211; <strong>a global movement trusted by over 44% of the web<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Some workshops ended with students creating their very first WordPress sites, while others formed small contribution circles to hold weekly contribution hours together. WordPress Campus Connect Dhaka 2025 &#8211; Officially Approved<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re proud to announce that <strong>WordPress Campus Connect Dhaka 2025 has now been officially recognized<\/strong> under the global Campus Connect program.
